Vice President of Design, American Standard, LIXIL

Antoine Besseyre Des Horts is the Vice President of Design for American Standard since 2016 and has been associated with LIXIL since 2011. At American Standard he is responsible for providing creative direction to translate brand’s strategies into culturally relevant consumer experiences, through product, packaging, environment and communication.

He is also responsible for leading international and multidisciplinary teams of designers on the creation and development of new product ranges including bathroom fittings, showers, ceramics, spalets, furniture and accessories.

For the past few years, Antoine worked closely with Paul Flowers, LIXIL Water Technology’s Chief Design Officer, where he chalked up extensive knowledge and experience in sanitary ware at Grohe AG designing a number of successful collections for the European, American and Asian markets.

Throughout his career, Antoine has amassed an impressive portfolio of design work and experience as a transportation designer, brand-experience designer and industrial designer
(home appliances) in various large organizations and prestigious agencies. Through his years in the design field, Antoine has received many design accolades such as the Red Dot Design Awards, IF Design Awards, Good Design Awards, Interior Innovations Awards and the prestigious Red Dot Design Team of the year Award in 2011 – the highest Design accolade awarding the best team of Designers across any industries and sectors.

He graduated with honors in a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design at the Nantes Atlantique Design School (France). He is currently based in Bangkok, Thailand.
