SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW AT STOCKHOLM ENVIRONMENT INSTITUTE
Arno Rosemarin PhD is Senior Research Fellow at Stockholm Environment Institute www.sei.org and has a multidisciplinary environmental and natural resources background with specialities in, sustainable sanitation, hygiene and water resources management, food security and phosphorus limitation, disaster risk reduction, limnology and aquatic toxicology. He co-founded the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance in 2007 www.susana.org; www.forum.susana.org. He is principal investigator in developing the SuSanA knowledge platform in a project sponsored by the Gates Foundation (2012-2018). He co-authored the UNEP book on best practices “Sanitation, Wastewater Management and Sustainability: From Waste Disposal to Resource Recovery” (2016). He co-managed the ecosan training programme sponsored by SNV in Rwanda (2014-2015). He co-managed (2012-2015) the MSB-sponsored project on disaster risk reduction “WASH and RESCUE”. He initiated and managed (2001-2011) the Sida-sponsored EcoSanRes programme which carried out pilot projects in ecosan in developing countries, also setting up knowledge nodes in 8 countries www.ecosanres.org.
